Alan Cook, formerly Vice President of Operations for U.S. Computer, founded Computer Network Solutions in 1997 as a break/fix maintenance services business.
With only a handful of impassioned employees, Alan developed a strong corporate culture at CNS and built a solid service-driven company. He later expanded his vision by utilizing his talented pool of professionals to advance CNS to the next logical step as a provider of professional services with LAN/WAN infrastructure design and implementation.

By the year 2000, Alan had cultivated a strong revenue base in break/fix maintenance and was operating a profitable services practice with a loyal customer base.
Next, as part of an aggressive long-range growth plan for CNS, Alan further extended the company’s reach by making a leap into the managed services provider arena. He earmarked a sizeable capital investment to build, equip and staff a network operations center (NOC) for critical day-to-day customer support.
Alan’s decision to invest in a network operations center has enabled CNS to provide clients with proactive systems management and has created a steady revenue stream to keep the company moving forward.
